An excellent, all be it brief, biography of Rembrandt with most of the book being given over to color plates of his paintings and short discussions of them. There are 127 pages and almost 60 of them are full page color plates.

The book is in near fine in a very good dust jacket. There is an inscription written in ink on the end paper which reads 'From Amsterdam May 1977'.

The book is one of The Little Art Book series. It was translated into English from Dutch and published in 1977 by Knorr and Hirth Verlag GMBH of West Germany.

The Cathedrals of Northern Spain by Charles Rudy The Cathedrals of Northern Spain by Charles Rudy
This is a comprehensive book which covers both the history and the architecture of the northern Spanish cathedrals. This includes information concerning the bishops, rulers and others identified with them. There are 398 pages including the index.

The book has a cream cover with with a beautiful red and gold impressed design on the front and on the spine. The cream on the spine is slightly grayed. There is a paper split which covers the hinge in the front. However, the cover is still tightly attached. The pages are obviously cut by hand and some pages were not cut as smoothly as they should have been. There are 31 illustration plus the frontispiece, each with their own protective tissue.

The book was published in 1906, by L. C. Page of Boston.
